Bramshaw is a small New Forest village which is located around 10 miles west of Southampton and 5 miles north of Lyndhurst on the borders of Hampshire and Wiltshire. It was once split in two until 1894, with the arrival of ‘County of Southampton Act 1894’ it was then combined and known as a Hampshire village.
The name ‘Bramshaw’ means ‘bramble wood’. Bramshaw Woods is noted for its Bronze Age archaeological findings. Home to the Bramble Hill Hotel.
