The village of Fritham
Fritham is a small New Forest village located in the north of the New Forest, close to the Wiltshire border. Home to Fritham Free Church and the Royal Oak, one of the oldest pubs in the New Forest.
It forms part of the civil parish of Bramshaw.
To the east of the village you will find ‘The Butt’ which is a Bronze Age Bowl barrow. Nearby Eyeworth Pond was originally created as a reservoir for use by the Schultze gunpowder factory which opened in the 1800’s and was once the worlds largest largest nitro-compound gunpowder factory.
Fritham is surrounded by unspoilt heathland and woods. Peaceful, tranquil and very typical of the New Forest.
